There is something I’m noticing about building.
The moment an idea begins becoming real, fear seems to become louder.
Today I have been turning ideas into documents, emails, plans, products, partnerships, and actual next steps. Things that once existed only in my head are beginning to exist in the world.
And strangely, this is exactly when worry wants to arrive.
So I am practicing something deliberately: returning to gratitude while I work.
Returning to prayer.
Returning to the expression on my face, the thoughts I am carrying, and the intention underneath what I am creating.
When a heavy thought rolls onto the board, I don’t have to let it stay there.
I can say:
This is mashallah.
This is being built with care.
This can go somewhere good.
Fear does not automatically mean something is wrong. Sometimes it simply means something has become real enough to matter.
Today, instead of allowing fear to become a stopping point, I am turning it into action steps.
Send the email.
Write the plan.
Make the document.
Ask the question.
Build the thing.
Then return to gratitude again.
Living Grove has always been interested in the space between an impulse and a choice — that tiny moment in which we can become conscious of what we are doing and choose our next action deliberately.
Apparently, building Living Grove requires me to practice that philosophy too.
Alhamdulillah for the capacity to build.
And Bismillah for what comes next.
